McCloud Rails : Passenger Operations: Excursion Photos

June 10 and 17 1950

The McCloud River Railroad hosted two passenger excursions on successive Saturdays in June 1950. The Northern California Railroad Club returned for their second excursion operated over the road on 10 June. The trip operated from McCloud to Lookout and back and was limited to 25 passengers. The Pacific Coast Region of the National Model Railroad Association held their annual convention in Dunsmuir the following weekend, which included a round trip to Pondosa on the 17th. Locomotive #26 powered both excursions, and passengers on both weekends rode in a gondola and two coaches leased from the Southern Pacific and two McCloud cabooses.
