Things do not always go as planned around any railroad operation. The McCloud on the whole had one of the cleaner safety records in the industry, but that did not mean that the companies did not have their share of wrecks and other mishaps. All photos from the Jeff Moore collection. |

McGiffert Loaders were very top heavy, and it did not take much to tip one over. Here is one seen from a hopefully seldom viewed angle about 1940. |
