Passenger Flat #827

McCloud, CA, 5/2003. The #827 was one of two flatcars converted from maintenance-of-way work to passenger service during the spring of 1995. At one point it had seats salvaged from a local theatre lining its deck, but by the middle 1990s the seats had been removed and the railroad started running the car as part of the dinner train during the summer months.

During the third week of June 2006 the railroad repainted the #827 a dark green color to make it visually fit in with the rest of the dinner train set.

#827 in August 2010, shortly before the railroad scrapped the car.

The #827 rode on trucks salvaged at some point from Oregon, California & Eastern #2018, a 40-foot flatcar.
