The Lookout Line

On 13 June 1999, the former Southern Pacific 4-8-4 #4449 journeyed from it’s home in Portland, OR to Sacramento, CA to attend the Railfair 1999 that was being held at the California State Railroad Museum as part of the state’s 125th year birthday celebration. The McCloud Railway ran a special excursion to Lookout behind the #37 and the #25 to meet the #4449 as it passed through Lookout. Below are several photographs taken on the Lookout line of that trip.
